Public and growing firm seeks a Senior Technical Accountant. Will be directly involved in various and numerous aspects of our financial closing process, internal control documentation, and integration efforts, with primary focus on our foreign operations.  This role requires a solid understanding of GAAP (IFRS a plus) and willingness to research and document the application and interpretation of new accounting standards and their impact on our transactions.  Work with a team of key leaders, responsible for driving the execution, maintenance, and enhancement of the company's process, policies, and procedures.

  • Lead the coordination and preparation of our monthly accounting and reporting activities for certain operations across our international entities
  • Liaison with foreign accounting personnel on reporting requirements and review statutory documentation to facilitate timely and accurate statutory reporting
  • Coordinate and/or prepare required documentation to fulfill quarterly review and annual audit requests, both internal and external
  • Prepare analysis of financial statements for applicable areas and work directly with our external auditors to resolve audit questions
  • Prepare and/or review a variety of routine and ad hoc financial reports and reporting packages for management and other internal customers, as well as assist in other ad hoc projects
  • Participate in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance, audits, and resolution of any matters
  • Develop new and replacement policies as a result of changes in business practice and accounting standards
  • Act as a source of knowledge on foreign accounting matters to local and foreign key accounting personnel
  • Deliver high standard of departmental and cross departmental service

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
  • 3+ years of technical accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional audit firm experience strongly preferred) with a proven record of progressive responsibility in applying SEC and U.S. GAAP rules to complex technical accounting issues
  • CPA preferred
  • Very strong or advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Able to work in an dynamic team environment with former Big 4 colleagues in a global organization
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC experience required
